What is the difference between an X capacitor and a Y capacitor?
1. The X capacitor suppresses differential mode interference, and the Y capacitor suppresses common mode interference.
2. Based on the limitation of leakage current, the capacitance of Y capacitor should not be too large. Generally, the X capacitor is uF level, and the Y capacitor is nF level.
