Q: What causes the electrolytic capacitor to short-circuit and burn out?
A: The short-circuit of electrolytic capacitor refers to the destruction of the capacitor when the PCB board is working and the product cannot continue to work. The reasons for this are generally:
1)The capacitor package model is not large enough;
2)The reserved margin is not enough;
3)The withstand voltage is too small or the product current is too large.
Q:What is the loss in electrolytic capacitors?
A: During the use of electrolytic capacitors, the electrical energy consumed is the loss of the capacitor. The energy loss of electrolytic capacitors includes dielectric loss and the loss of the metal part of the plate. The dielectric loss is related to the characteristics of the dielectric, frequency of use, temperature, etc., and the loss of the metal part is related to the lead wire, plate material, and core structure used by the capacitor.
