Control the Discharge of Supercapacitors:
The resistance of the supercapacitor hinders its rapid discharge. The time constant τ of the supercapacitor is 1~2s, and it takes about 5τ to discharge the resistance-capacitance circuit, that is to say, it takes about 5~10s if the short circuit discharges (due to the special structure of the electrode, it actually takes several hours for them to remove all the remaining charge).
Discharge Control Time:
Supercapacitors can be charged and discharged quickly, and the peak current is only limited by its internal resistance, and is not caused by a short circuit. In fact, it depends on the size of the capacitor monomer. For matching loads, small units can discharge 10A, and large units can discharge 1000A. Another limiting condition of the discharge rate is heat. Repeatedly discharging at a violent rate will increase the temperature of the capacitor and eventually lead to an open circuit.
