Monolithic capacitors are mostly used for energy storage exchange as well as achieving the effects of bypass and coupling. In an AC circuit, the monolithic capacitor is charged and discharged following the change of the polarity of the input signal, so that the circuit connected to the two ends of the monolithic capacitor is in a conductive state. At the same time, because the monolithic capacitor is not a conducting body, it can be connected in parallel with other components in the circuit to allow AC to pass, while DC is blocked, acting as a bypass.
Another use of monolithic capacitors is to achieve the role of frequency identification. In an AC circuit, for a multi-frequency mixed signal, we can use a monolithic capacitor to separate its parts, and we can use a monolithic capacitor with a reasonable capacitance to filter out most of the low-frequency signals.
